Our baptismal promise to seek and serve Christ in all people means we work hard to support our neighbors who came to the U.S. from other parts of the world. Jesus tells his followers in the Gospel of Matthew, “I was a stranger, and you welcomed me; … Truly I tell you, just as you did it to the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” 
 
Migration Ministries supports dioceses and ministry networks around The Episcopal Church by serving communities, addressing global migration, and protecting the rights of migrants. We educate and equip church partners and work alongside Anglican Communion provinces on many aspects of migration, seeking to welcome and protect the vulnerable. 
 
In response to sweeping changes to immigration enforcement in 2025, the Migration Ministries team now offers proactive and reactive support to dioceses in areas facing increased immigration enforcement activities. Coordinated efforts across the Church Center staff—including working closely with our Office of Government Relations—provide timely response and support aimed at meeting a variety of educational, service, and support needs.
