Take Action
Looking for tangible ways to put your faith into practice? There are roughly 700 public policy resolutions—passed by our church’s governing bodies—encouraging Episcopalians to take action in alignment with our beliefs.
The Office of Government Relations, along with the church’s representative to the United Nations and other Church Center staff members, aims to shape and influence government policy based on these resolutions. We offer expertise and resources to Episcopal bishops, dioceses, congregations, individuals, and organizations on how to advocate to the U.S. government and other entities.
Our relationships with congressional staff, administration officials, leading advocacy organizations, and think-tank experts allow us to be strategic about how and when we use our voices as Episcopalians to push for incremental change.

Each week, hundreds of Episcopalians send messages to U.S. Congress members based on action alerts sent by our Episcopal Public Policy Network. These weekly alerts include an analysis of legislation, a link to all relevant church policies, and a script and portal to send an email to your elected official.
