The Episcopal Church Executive Council recently approved nearly $1 million in United Thank Offering grants that support 25 innovative mission and ministry projects in the United States and around the world.
Projects range from immigrant and migrant ministries to initiatives addressing housing insecurity and food access to support for women and adolescent survivors of violence.
The funds come from the United Thank Offering’s yearly Ingathering, including thank offerings collected in “blue boxes” across Episcopal churches.
The UTO Board received 46 applications requesting nearly $2 million in funding. It was able to fund 25 projects within The Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion, including one historical grant.
