The Episcopal Church held its first Veterans Day Holy Eucharist service at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 11, honoring those who have served in the military and specially recognizing the Episcopal chaplains who support them.

The Rev. Canon David Ulloa Chavez has been named The Episcopal Church’s partnership officer for Latin America and the Caribbean. Chavez brings years of bilingual and bicultural leadership experience in diocesan and churchwide contexts, serving most recently as rector of All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church in Sun City, Arizona, and canon for border ministries for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona.
