Churches Beyond Borders

Churches Beyond Borders is a body composed of The Episcopal Church, the Anglican Church of Canada, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. The Episcopal Church’s General Convention formalized these relationships in 2022.

This ecumenical partnership between full-communion members was formed to strengthen the four churches’ ability to work together on social justice issues. This work has included addressing racism and white supremacy, educating Christians about the effects of the Doctrine of Discovery, advocating for an end to violence in the Holy Land, and highlighting the impact of gender-based violence.
