Los Comit\u00e9s Permanentes y los\/as obispos\/as con jurisdicci\u00f3n han otorgado a la Di\u00f3cesis Episcopal de Long Island la mayor\u00eda requerida de consentimientos para la elecci\u00f3n, celebrada el 18 de abril, del Rvdo. Adam J. Shoemaker como obispo. Su servicio de ordenaci\u00f3n y consagraci\u00f3n est\u00e1 previsto para el 19 de septiembre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al otorgar su consentimiento para la ordenaci\u00f3n y consagraci\u00f3n de Shoemaker como obispo, los Comit\u00e9s Permanentes y los\/as obispos\/as con jurisdicci\u00f3n de la Iglesia Episcopal certifican que no conocen \u201cning\u00fan impedimento debido al cual\u201d Shoemaker no deba ser ordenado obispo, y que su elecci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo de conformidad con los c\u00e1nones.
